Rethinking inline comments on Confluence mobile
Before this project, inline comments on mobile were located next to page comments at the bottom of the page. This deviated from the expected experience and made it hard for users to discover and read inline comments. Users also weren’t able to create inline comments on mobile. We wanted to address these issues and customer pain points in this project. I drove design for this work, designing the new inline comment experience for Android, iOS, and iPad. I also conducted internal and external user interviews to better inform the iPad experience. This new experience substantially increased comment users on mobile across Android and iOS.
